New Holland’s Innovations at World FIRA 2025
At World FIRA 2025, New Holland will showcase its latest solutions in precision farming and automation, developed to enhance grower productivity and sustainability. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the brand’s groundbreaking technologies.
- Advanced Vision Assisted Guidance for Specialty Tractors:
This innovative system, recognized with an EIMA Technical Innovation Award, uses LiDAR vision technology combined with simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms to replace traditional GPS navigation.
Currently in testing, the system autonomously steers tractors along rows and at row ends while controlling rear-mounted implements. It eliminates risks associated with GPS signal loss due to canopy coverage, netting, or challenging terrains, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
Enhancing Farming Efficiency and Sustainability
By reducing the need for manual intervention, this technology allows less skilled operators to perform complex tasks and frees experienced growers from repetitive work. This enables them to focus on value-added activities, such as optimizing inter-row applications and achieving precise sprayer coverage, all while minimizing waste and soil pollution.
